Job Overview
  • This position is an important link between our church and the congregation/community.  This person serves as a gateway for all weekday activity and is a major player for creating a positive and inviting impression of the church and its ministries.
Responsibilities
  • Welcomes guests by greeting them, in person or on the telephone
  • Resources guests and callers based on request
  • Answers questions about church events (who, what, when, where and how?)
  • Maintains safe and clean reception area
  • Sorts and distributes incoming mail and deliveries
  • Organizes and maintains lost and found items
  • Provides needed administrative  support to various ministries
  • Contributes to overall health of staff culture and dynamics
Qualifications
  • Telephone skills
  • Strong communication skills: verbal and written
  • Microsoft Office skills

  • Show initiative/self-motivated
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task

  • Highly motivated and teachable
Experience and Education Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and education
  • 1+ years related experience, including customer service
Salary and Benefits
  • Compensation is commensurate based upon experience, previous ministry work, and educational accomplishments.
